Everyone in Kingston is awaiting the summer to see if the

dying venue and whether the Mirage will regain lost ground under it's new management and
revised schedule. I n the meantime the Countryside Club took over from Peppers as the

More than anything else, Jamaica
is known for its music. So there was no way we could have a portal without a music page.
After putting up the News, Sports and Dining pages, we went scouting for a music writer.
When we encountered difficulty finding someone with enough interest to do it gratis, we
turned to Sydney Davis. Sydney had been publishing DanceHall, the Reggae Newspaper, and
had asked us to help with the editing. We suggested to Sydney that we give him a free
advertisement and link from the Music Page in exchange for DanceHall producing the copy
for it. The arrangement worked for everyone involved and was in place until Jamaica Today
was removed from the net.
