From the moment we began the Jamaica Today portal, we knew an Environment Page would be a major point of interest. Because of our limited resources, we decided not to build our own pages for the three links on the right, but to send browsers to existing information. Consequently, those pages still link outside Jamaica Today. We were committed, however, to producing the Wood & Water page as a place to get current environmental news in Jamaica. We updated it weekly or forthnightly according to the flow of news. We later added the Birds of Jamaica page to bring more content to the portal.
