Job Title:                                  Digital Marketing Officer

Supervises Indirectly:              Marketing Assistants/Graphic Designers, Receptionist, Bearer

Qualifications

Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Sociology, Economics, Literature or History with at least two years of work experience, and at least a year’s exposure to a marketing, advertising, public relations or other creative environment.

Well organized, excellent client relations skills, high level of creativity and initiative, excellent time management skills, excellent communication skills orally and written, eye for details, team player, deadline oriented, a self-starter and works well under pressure. 

Main Functions

CLIENT RELATIONS/MANAGEMENT

  • Examine RFP's to determine client needs, Panmedia input for proposals or otherwise liaise with clients as to what final product should portray, contain; Draft/rewrite of sections of proposal to reflect client needs; Put proposals together, delivery if needed
  • Give input into organization’s business development and client retention strategies
  • Develop, implement and manage Social Media/Marketing programmes
  • Monitor projects and ensure their timely and efficient execution
  • Benchmark, monitor and evaluate service delivery and implement measures to optimise standard
  • Manage and develop key accounts
  • Receive website text and other inputs from client
  • Liaise with clients re adjustments to copy and designs (print, web sites)
  • Obtain client sign offs
  • Submit advertising costing
  • Secure contracts
  • Draft and distribute correspondence
  • Provide updates concerning jobs
  • Prepare social media logs and performance reports

PRODUCTION SUPPORT

  • Research (including locating images and photos)
  • Copywriting and editing
  • Conceptualization
  • Media planning, budgeting, execution and supervision
  • Coordination/Quality Control of online & printed material
  • Supervise ad placements
  • Develop, implement and manage Social Media/Marketing programs

Authority To:   

  • Request information from clients, institutions providing support services and other suppliers
  • Provide updates on projects and jobs to clients
  • Access archives and other sources of information

Job successfully completed when:

  • Placements are made on schedule and error free
  • Content logs and performance reports are relevant and of a high standard and are delivered in a timely manner
  • Printed material is delivered on schedule and error free.
  • Interaction with customers and suppliers demonstrate a high level of professionalism
  • Customers indicate a high level of satisfaction with services provided
  • Confidentiality is maintained

Main Functions

WEBSITES & MOBILE APPS

  • Assist in developing proposals for sites and mobile apps
  • Evaluate sites and mobile apps to be redone and make recommendations
  • Write programming for mobile and websites
  • Assist with job costing for mobile/site development
  • Maintaining websites hosted for clients
  • Make recommendations for design refinement; make adjustments as appropriate
  • Conduct research

LOCAL NETWORK

  • Maintaining local server
  • Back up files based as per schedule
  • Assist with the archiving of files
  • Monitor e-mail usage and ensure optimization of use, availability and function
  • Service local network
  • Troubleshooting
  • Maintain/upgrade computer hardware as required
  • Provide technical support at presentations at exhibitions

An ideal candidate must demonstrate expert knowledge on all aspects of the Drupal framework and be able to assume an independent development role. This developer must posses the "know-how" of not only modifying existing modules/behavior but also building new modules and incorporating custom functionality with varying levels of complexity. The candidate must also be keenly familiar with Drupal performance tuning and the various presentation layer options.  We need people with the self-motivation to pursue and execute on projects, while working in the context of a larger team.

Requirements
* Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS
* Extensive Drupal experience (including themeing and module creation)
* Extensive PHP experience (Python experience would be a plus)
* Familiarity with AJAX (experience with frameworks like JQuery or YUI would be a plus)
* Detail-oriented project management skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience with SEO

It would be helpful if the person has URLs and descriptions of previous Drupal projects, and role/involvement in each.
