Job Title:                                  Digital Marketing Officer

Reports To:                              Manager, Digital Marketing

Supervises Indirectly:              Marketing Assistants/Graphic Designers, Receptionist, Bearer

Qualifications

Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Sociology, Economics, Literature or History with at least two years of work experience, and at least a year’s exposure to a marketing, advertising, public relations or other creative environment.

Well organized, excellent client relations skills, high level of creativity and initiative, excellent time management skills, excellent communication skills orally and written, eye for details, team player, deadline oriented, a self-starter and works well under pressure. 

Main Functions

CLIENT RELATIONS/MANAGEMENT

  • Examine RFP's to determine client needs, Panmedia input for proposals or otherwise liaise with clients as to what final product should portray, contain; Draft/rewrite of sections of proposal to reflect client needs; Put proposals together, delivery if needed
  • Give input into organization’s business development and client retention strategies
  • Develop, implement and manage Social Media/Marketing programmes
  • Monitor projects and ensure their timely and efficient execution
  • Benchmark, monitor and evaluate service delivery and implement measures to optimise standard
  • Manage and develop key accounts
  • Receive website text and other inputs from client
  • Liaise with clients re adjustments to copy and designs (print, web sites)
  • Obtain client sign offs
  • Submit advertising costing
  • Secure contracts
  • Draft and distribute correspondence
  • Provide updates concerning jobs
  • Prepare social media logs and performance reports

PRODUCTION SUPPORT

  • Research (including locating images and photos)
  • Copywriting and editing
  • Conceptualization
  • Media planning, budgeting, execution and supervision
  • Coordination/Quality Control of online & printed material
  • Supervise ad placements
  • Develop, implement and manage Social Media/Marketing programs

Authority To:   

  • Request information from clients, institutions providing support services and other suppliers
  • Provide updates on projects and jobs to clients
  • Access archives and other sources of information

Job successfully completed when:

  • Placements are made on schedule and error free
  • Content logs and performance reports are relevant and of a high standard and are delivered in a timely manner
  • Printed material is delivered on schedule and error free.
  • Interaction with customers and suppliers demonstrate a high level of professionalism
  • Customers indicate a high level of satisfaction with services provided
  • Confidentiality is maintained
  • Positive contribution made towards team objectives
