Panmedia welcomes new staff member
This week Panmedia welcomes on staff Marc Richards as Systems Engineer. A graduate of Swarthmore College with a B.Sc. in Engineering, Marc worked as a web developer in the US for a few years before deciding to return to Jamaica to get involved in web development locally.
PCJ Exhibition at the Manchester Public Library
This week Panmedia mounted a two day exhibition for the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica at the Manchester Public Library in Mandeville that runs March 22 & 23. Titled “Use Less. Pay Less.”, the exhibition features energy saving technologies, educational and multi media displays, conservation presentations, giveaways and lectures. The displays include actual models of Energy Efficiency Technologies for domestic and commercial use.
PCJ Awards Poster Competition Winners
A national poster competition Panmedia organised awarded winners this week at a luncheon. Sponsored by the Energy Efficiency Unit of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica the competition involved 50 high schools in the company’s public awareness campaign on energy conservation and efficiency.
Panmedia Salute To Regionalism
Our second Panmedia Salute goes to two regional journalists. Lennox Grant, who often helps us understand the Trinidad state of mind, and Jamaican media consultant Wyvolyn Gager will monitor press coverage in the Guyana elections this year and assess compliance with the Media Code of Conduct.
