Soft Launch For The Edna Manley College Website
The Edna Manley School for the Visual Arts this week soft launched its new website designed by Panmedia. Principal Burchell Duhaney says he chose this route because he expects feedback from stakeholders at the College to add other dimensions to the site’s design and content.
Mr. Duhaney worked closely with web master Daemone Brown to fine-tune the final layout and to populate the site with images of the school and students at work and play.
The homepage includes images from EMCCPA’s four main schools – art, drama, dance and music – and a Flash promo that gives a visual tour of the College. There are also links to the schools for Education & Professional Studies and Continuing Studies.
A key feature of the website is the ability to access a digital archive. The archive is a database of Caribbean artists’ biographies and portfolios.
