Stafish Oils’ official website is getting a facelift. Panmedia designers and developers are giving the site a clean redesign that's easy to navigate, encourages sales and strengthens the company’s engagement with its customers.

The new look www.starfishoils.com launches in late October and hits the market just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.

Starfish is a unique line of island-inspired aromatherapy products – natural essential oils, incense, bath products, handmade soaps and candles. The exquisite collection are sold in fine stores throughout Jamaica, the Caribbean and the USA as well as on the company website. Starfish also has a popular outlet at the Norman Manley International Airport.

“The aromatherapy business has special marketing needs that must be captured in the website,” says Panmedia developer Howard Henry. “Aromatherapy is about the senses: it is about touch, feel and smell and the design must precisely reflect this. At the same time, the site must be functional and user friendly so shoppers can easily find what they are looking for.”

Site features include:

  • A Magento eCommerce platform to effectively showcase the client’s products and services, integrated with PayPal for secure payment processing.
  • Standards compliant code and practices to enhance search engine friendliness, improve accessibility and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • An attractive home page JavaScript image slider (featuring Starfish Oil products) for enhanced branding.
  • A catalogue that allows customers to browse different categories and products quickly and easily.
  • A content management system for timesaving website updates by the client.

Starfish Oils was established in 1996.  The company’s natural products are made in Jamaica by the finest local craftsmen and women and have been featured on the pages of Bon Appétit, Caribbean Travel & Life, Mademoiselle, Natural Living and Panache.
