The fight for the world's dwindling resources has magnified the role of the [International Seabed Authority](http://www.isa.org.jm "Seabed Authority") headquartered in Kingston.

ISA LogoThis week the authority awarded Panmedia a contract to repurpose its wesbite to present online new ways of managing its data and its relationships with member states, members of the Authority's various organs, students, scientists and other stakeholders.

The new site will feature integration with ISA's existing CDS/ISIS database that will let users search the database from the web. It will also include a user forum, browsing of the site's content in three languages (English, Spanish and French) and a much easier means for navigating the vast amount of documents the Authority will make available for downloads.

The Authority's work in seabed mining, topography, technology and environmental protection will be structured and animated with various online interactive techniques. Other features include a user registration system and a forum. The new design will will include a restructuring of the information architecture, and the site will be optimized for all modern browsers.
