These little buggers invite themselves into your home. Worse, they lurk in your bedroom of all places!

They hide behind your paintings, leaving disgusting little droppings. You ruin perfectly good shoes, as missiles to throw at them.

We haven’t met anyone who likes croaking lizards. People usually express fear, loathing or active disdain for these creatures. Ever wonder why?

We have a few theories of our own.

1. They are UGLY!
No Jamaican we know likes looking at croaking lizards. Their appearance is most displeasing, from the paleness of their skin to their beady black eyes and even their stubby little legs and creepy feet.

2. That croaking sound
Ugh! That un-nerving sound the croaking lizard makes seems to echo through the night?

3. They drive fear into almost everybody
These little pests can clear a room in no time. Who would want to share space with such a creature anyhow?

4. They seem to be indestructible
They can withstand shoes, brooms and insect spray. Trust us, we've lost a few battles to them.

5. They invite their friends!
The absolute worst thing about croaking lizards is after they move into YOUR house, they invite their friends over. Together these nuisances form a choir and croak all night!
